Production and Quality Control

Starting from Zero The different market requirements for material quality standards according to ASME®, ASTM® and various European specifications are allready taken into account when the stainless steel is ordered from the steelworks. The material is cut from the original bar into work-pieces before being used to produce valve bodies. The heat number from the original bar is transferred directly to the valve body or recorded with the batch numbers that are engraved on the valve body. This provides full traceability back to the mill certificate for each single unit.

Computerized, Uniform Handling

The bodies are turned in computer-programmed turning lathes to their final shape and the pipes are welded using semi-automatic TIG welding on the outside. This operation guarantees uniform handling and an outstanding result. The valve part is polished manually and, if required, electro-polished according to your requirements to a surface finish of Ra < 0.5 μm, or better. The Millipore quality control program for the valve body is extensive and ensures that only high-quality products are shipped to our customers.

The oversized hose barb design facilitates a strong adhesion to the tubing and ties may not be required.
Sanitary Bio Barbs™ feature a true bore design through the entire connector, and the barb design ensures a smooth transition from tubing to adaptor, reducing turbulence.
The identical ID of barb and tubing allows complete full drainage along an unimpeded flow path.
A slight raise at the port of the tri-clover face ensures proper capture of the gasket.
Every hosebarb has permanently moulded in it the production lot, and size identification.

They are produced from DMF listed polypropylene that complies with FDA and USP Class VI test protocols.
The oversized hose barb design facilitates a strong adhesion to the tubing and ties may not be required.
Bio-Ys™ feature a true bore design through the entire connector, and the barb design ensures a smooth transition from tubing to adapter, reducing turbulence.
The Y-junction splits the flow with minimum turbulence and optimum flow rate.
The identical ID of barb and tubing allows complete full drainage along an unimpeded flow path, and compression between the tube and fitting eliminates the by-pass of the media to potential entrapment areas.
